The purest implementation

Avoids the dust of

Sophisticated oblivious contact.

The space between us

Is a void of oppression.

The confines of a mind

Prepare an awful constraint.

The missing touch

Breeds a lonely love.

Innocence is sheltered from the outward influence

And has never ventured at the frustrating void.

An excursion through the turbulent other

Reveals the valued volume as a

Distant perspective verifies the honest dimensions.

Stained virtue is purest.

The personification of a new awakening

Contours the delicate opening heart to

A first embodiment of innocent perception.

True feelings are a loss through experience

Purifying the inner reservoir from compelling desire.

Understanding outlines the inspired Love.

A relationship holds a relative statement

Of two partial entities signified by

A prominent separateness.

Perfect interrelation lapses by a complexification

Of the hinted sharing

When a personal idea confuses the point

Of the attempted union.

Obfuscation finds a haze

As the moment defeats the parted imperfection.

Slight shift of tone

Pronounces a subtle variance

To the perceived condition.

A steadfast awareness bears the loss.

Change is called strength.

Sensitivity is called wisdom.

Small pieces of corruption remain

Nestled at spaced locations throughout

The sensed region.

Wind, when applied to a single newspaper,

Spreads havoc across the entire street.

A concrete call gravitates more than the airy sigh.

Some diverging tension communicates

The disjointed comment as

Rotational displacement

Accelerates the conclusion towards

The integral beginning point.

Gross misappropriation represents the taken

Wish before the distorted dream.

Vacuum phenomena comprises

Certain emptiness urging all

Reluctant particulate matter

Through a frantic flight

From white width to black plenum.

Each quantum of haphazard occurrence

Signifies a joy violated by a pain.

At the exact arc centers

Touch through a circuitous passage forming means

Somehow ignoring that the advantageous arrangement

Contains the ordered stillness in the given Word.

Absence is not the excuse

For departing from

The announced celebration.

Swirl of souls composes the lifted thought

Visualized to overshadow the brave

Extension of timid man

Reaching out.

A flaw in the crystalline relation

Is a recognition of what surrounds it

Depth of eyes over outwardly contoured cheeks.

Direction harnesses that reflected sense of being

Amorphous contemplation is the sculpture of a lie.

The angelic blush is hidden from the lady's

Consciousness. The deep essence

Illuminates to without.

The wall within

Wastes the fine substance.

I see what cannot be said

Because of the wall

The Wall.

A friend spoke a few words

And a stranger was born.

Hurled at me in the shock of a second -

The blissful aura broken

To brittle deception.

Yet, purity is absence of punishment,

Therefore, I am the fault.

To be a part of what surrounds me

Is in me

Then feel perfect Beauty always

In a form, in a movement.

My breath is Life drawn into me

And that is what I am.

TO WENDY

Through a slow turn

Of the graceful form

A singular mode of beauteous

Art is made as happy gesture.

Comprehension of the smiling lift

Frees the called spirit to consummate being.

Purposely I came to Le Figaro

Apart facing an empty chair crowded by noise.

"Where are your feelings lying"

Precipitated from the air - uncalled for.

Nothingness negates uncertainty

And feelings do not lie in an empty chair.

Anyway, feelings are a desire for an idealized lie

I chose to love.

The inevitability of Physics;

do it.

He calls out and the call shimmers

uncaught by particular despair,

Stretches, epitomized by the stale odor

of scratching turmoil.

AN INTRODUCTION TO A POETRY READING

Felix D'Arienzo is freer from socially accepted and self-imposed misconceptions about what a poem is supposed to be than any other poet I know. Just as Edward Taylor was writing poetry with a characteristic American limpidness almost immediately after Massachusetts was settled, and hiding it from his neighbors, Felix D'Arienzo portends something sturdy and new by simply being himself.
